Walter Lauridsen - Iowa Real Estate Investor and Philanthropic Leader
An experienced real estate investor based in Des Moines, Iowa, Walter "Walt" Lauridsen holds a bachelor of arts degree from Cornell University. Currently self-employed, Walter Lauridsen focuses on investing in real estate and small businesses, drawing on over a decade of experience at the Lauridsen Group, where he was responsible for production scheduling, project management, and advisory support.
During his time at the Lauridsen Group, Mr. Lauridsen contributed to international business development, including the establishment of a production plant in Poznan, Poland, where he oversaw construction and operational startup. He later moved into leadership roles at the company, focusing on project management and strategic planning.
In addition to his professional work, Mr. Lauridsen serves on the board of the Harvest Academy, a therapeutic community addressing rehabilitation and incarceration prevention. He also participates in the National Advisory Council for the Robert and Billie Ray Center, which oversees CHARACTER COUNTS! He has also been involved in the arts, previously serving on the board of Mainframe Studios and collaborating with artist Jordan Weber.
In his free time, Mr. Lauridsen enjoys restoring classic cars, sailing, woodworking, and creating art installations. He also prioritizes spending time with his son and supporting local community initiatives.
